OUR SERVICES

General Assistance

The General Assistance (GA) Program is a federal assistance program administered by SNETP for eligible Native American individuals and families. Its primary goal is to provide temporary financial assistance to those who cannot meet their essential needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and utilities, and who do not qualify for other forms of federal assistance.

Work Experience

designed to provide job training and employment opportunities to individuals with little to no work experience. It helps participants gain the skills and knowledge needed to improve their employability.

Participants work in temporary jobs,  where they can learn basic work habits, job responsibilities, and skills such as time management or communication. The program aims to assist those who are unemployed or underemployed, with the long-term goal of helping participants transition into permanent employment.

Youth Work Experience

Classroom Training

On The Job Training (OJT)

On-the-Job Training (OJT) is a hands-on approach to learning where individuals gain practical experience while working in a real job environment. Unlike classroom training, OJT takes place at the actual worksite, allowing participants to develop skills directly related to the job they are performing.

High School Senior Program

The High School Senior Program is typically designed to assist high school seniors in their transition from school to higher education, vocational training, or the workforce. These programs,  provide support, resources, and opportunities to help students prepare for life after graduation.

Career Counseling

Career counseling is a professional service that helps individuals understand their strengths, interests, and skills to make informed decisions about their career paths.  It is especially valuable for students, job seekers, or individuals facing a career transition, helping them make well-informed decisions that align with both their professional aspirations and personal satisfaction.

Supportive Services

Supportive services refer to a range of assistance programs designed to help individuals overcome barriers that may prevent them from achieving self-sufficiency, securing employment, or completing training or education programs.  Supportive services are crucial in ensuring that individuals have the necessary resources to focus on their job training, education, or employment without being hindered by everyday challenges. They aim to create stability, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being, helping people stay on track to achieve their goals.
